Fiber Optic Technician

Role Summary

Employee in this role will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. Performs basic fiber handling, cable pulling, splicing assistance, testing support, and troubleshooting activities to ensure network reliability. Follows safety and quality standards while assisting senior technicians and field teams in daily operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support field activities for OSP & ODN.
• Perform fiber network troubleshooting, fault localization, and physical maintenance.
• Conduct OTDR testing, optical power measurements, and link validation.
• Perform and support fiber splicing and restoration activities.
• Lead and supervise fiber maintenance activities across assigned sites.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of fiber tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Maintain site cleanliness and ensure compliance with HSE and safety requirements.
• Work effectively in field environments and under operational conditions.
